Letenský zámeček, Renaissance Revival château in Letná Park, Prague 7, Czech Republic
Letenský zámeček is a two-story Renaissance Revival château in Letná Park featuring a quadrangular tower and large semi-circular windows overlooking the Vltava River. The structure includes event spaces and outdoor garden seating areas.
Built in 1863 by architect Vojtěch Ignác Ullmann, it replaced an earlier observation house called Belvedér dating to 1715 that was destroyed in 1742. The new construction marked a return to cultural prominence for the site after decades without a structure.
The building houses a restaurant serving Czech cuisine made with local ingredients across several dining spaces. Visitors experience traditional Bohemian food in a historic setting.
The location is easily accessible from the park and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces depending on weather and preference. Visitors should wear comfortable footwear as the grounds include garden and park pathways.
Behind the restaurant stands a protected vintage carousel with wooden horses installed in 1894, reflecting the location's entertainment heritage. This rare artifact is one of the few surviving examples of its kind in the area.
