The Royal Tomb of Mušov is a Germanic burial chamber from the 2nd century located near Pasohlávky. The chamber measures roughly 6 by 4 by 3 meters (20 by 13 by 10 feet) and contained bronze objects and other finds that reflect the wealth and status of the person buried there.
The tomb was discovered in 1988 and belonged to a Germanic leader living during the Marcomannic Wars. This burial reflects a period when Germanic elites maintained diplomatic and trade connections with Roman territories.
A bronze cauldron discovered here displays cast handles featuring four male faces, showing how craftspeople of this era created decorative metalwork. Such objects tell us about artistic traditions that mattered to people of high status.
