The Gallery of Fine Arts is an art museum in the heart of Ostrava that spans multiple floors and presents collections of Czech and international art. The building offers different exhibition spaces with works from various time periods.

The gallery was founded in 1952 as a regional gallery, making it Ostrava's oldest, and it continues the tradition of the 1923 association that built the House of Art, opened in 1926. Its core was the collection of builder František Jureček, who donated 113 mostly graphic works of 19th-century Czech art. From 1952 to 1990 it was called the Regional Gallery in Ostrava.

The gallery displays works by different artists, ranging from old paintings to modern pieces that attract art lovers from across the region. The rooms tell a story through their collection and arrangement, showing how art has developed from medieval times to today.

The gallery occupies the House of Art on Jurečkova Street, with the library and administration moved in 2008 to a separate building on Poděbradova Street. From 1984 to 2012 the gallery also ran the Nová síň hall in Poruba, which housed a library alongside its exhibition room. The House of Art was built in 1924–1926 by architects Fiala and Wallenfels, pupils of Kotěra.

The gallery's collection grew from 113 mostly graphic works of 19th-century Czech art donated by builder František Jureček, one of the founders of the 1923 association. Under Vilém Jůza in the 1960s it acquired a coherent set of 1960s art, and it now holds over 22,000 works, including Gustav Klimt's Judith.
