Císařská louka

Císařská louka is a river island on the Vltava that offers green spaces for recreation and outdoor activities. The site includes a campground with about 50 spaces, basic facilities like restrooms and showers, and connections to nearby parts of the city by ferry.

The island received its name in 1297 when it hosted a coronation banquet for King Václav II of Bohemia. This royal event linked the location to important moments in the region's medieval past.

The island holds significance as the birthplace of golf in Czech lands, marking an important moment in the country's sporting history. Today it functions as a gathering place where locals and visitors enjoy outdoor activities along the riverbank.

The island is accessible year-round, with summer months offering the best conditions for camping and water sports. Regular ferry service connects the island to the mainland, making access straightforward for visitors.
