Veslařský Island sits along the right bank of the Vltava River in Podolí and connects to the shore via a concrete bridge. Multiple boat houses and sports facilities cover the island, offering spaces for rowing, canoeing, and sailing.
The island formed naturally in the 15th century from sand deposits created by ice blockages in the river. A cargo ship was later deliberately sunk to expand and reshape the landmass.
