Kaiserštejnský palác, Baroque palace in Malá Strana, Czech Republic
Kaiserstein Palace is a baroque palace located in Malá Strana, Prague, featuring nine interconnected rooms and an outdoor terrace. The interior spaces display characteristic baroque details and proportions typical of early 18th-century aristocratic residences.
The palace was built in 1714 when Count František Helfried of Kaiserstein commissioned the reconstruction of two Renaissance buildings on the site. Architect Giovanni Alliprandi transformed the structures into a baroque residence.
The palace holds a connection to Czech opera as Marie Petzold-Sitt, who performed in The Bartered Bride, and singer Ema Destinnová lived within its walls.
The palace is available for private events and gatherings, with rooms that can accommodate different group sizes. Access to the building and its facilities allows for flexible arrangement of various types of occasions.
The main facade facing the square originally featured an arcade that was replaced with a balcony in 1896. This change reflects how later renovations altered the building's appearance.
