The palace features multiple terraces with decorative balustrades leading to a three-part sala terrena, combining Renaissance and Rococo architectural elements.
In 1770, Countess Marie Barbora Černínová commissioned architect Johann Ignaz Palliardi to transform two Renaissance houses into this grand palace structure.
The building represents three centuries of Czech architectural development, incorporating Renaissance foundations, Baroque modifications, and Rococo decorative elements.
The palace currently serves as part of the Senate Office complex and connects to the adjacent Kolovratský Palace through corridors on multiple levels.
The palace gardens contain a circular viewing pavilion integrated into the late 18th-century terrace architecture, offering views across Malá Strana.
