Strašnická škola

Strašnická škola is a school building from the early 20th century featuring clear geometric proportions and large rectangular windows that define its facade. The structure displays typical construction methods and design choices of that era.

Architect Josef Domek designed this school building during a period when Prague expanded rapidly and needed more educational facilities. The structure was built during this growth phase and became a landmark of local development.

The building served as a gathering place for the local community in Strašnice for many decades, shaping the neighborhood's identity through its role in education. Its presence continues to mark the character of the district.

The building is located in Strašnice and is visible from the street, making it easy to spot when walking through the area. Note that the structure is currently not open to visitors since it ceased operations.

The building was removed from regular classroom use in 2019 and has remained unused since, a sign of changing educational patterns in the city. This shift makes it a quiet witness to modern urban transformation.
