Můstek, Mountain summit in Bohemian Forest, Czech Republic

Brückelberg is a mountain peak in the Bohemian Forest on the border between Czech Republic and Germany. The summit provides wide views across the forested hills of the surrounding landscape.

The name Můstek is a Czech translation of the original German name Brückelberg. The summit rises to 1235 m as the highest point of the Pancířský hřbet ridge, about 8 km north of Železná Ruda. A red-marked hiking trail leads from the Špičák district over Pancíř to the top.

The Czech name Můstek translates the original German name Brückelberg, "little bridge mountain". The ridge it tops is the Pancířský hřbet, German Panzerkamm, named after the neighbouring Pancíř peak (1214 m), about 3 km to the south. The summit lies in the central part of this mica-schist ridge.

The hiking trails to the summit are marked and pass through forest and meadow terrain with varying difficulty levels. Visitors should bring sturdy footwear and be prepared for changeable weather since the peak is exposed.

The summit lies on a granite porphyry outcrop within fine-grained mica schists and schist gneisses of the Moldanubian zone. About 2 km west of the main summit, a 1006 m subsidiary top, Můstek – Z vrchol I, rises, with a second 1001 m top 300 m east of it.
