Rezavka

Rezavka is a protected reserve near Ostrava featuring floodplain forests, open meadows, ponds, and a complex network of streams and old river channels. These varied habitats create different environments where many animals and plants can live.

The area became officially protected in 1998 and has since been managed as a nature reserve under Czech law. The floodplain forests and stream networks developed naturally over centuries as the river shaped the landscape.
