Vyhlídka Máj, Scenic viewpoint in Teletín, Czech Republic

Vyhlídka Máj is a scenic viewpoint near Teletín featuring natural rock outcrops that overlook a horseshoe bend in the Vltava River. The location sits surrounded by forest, with viewing areas positioned at different elevations along the site.

The viewpoint overlooks the meanders of the Vltava in the former Svatojánské proudy, rapids where raftsmen once ran timber toward Prague. That stretch was later submerged by the Štěchovická přehrada reservoir, and views from the rock appear on tourist brochures and calendars of the Vltava valley.

The name Máj refers to the nearby Smetanova vyhlídka area and the viewpoint's views appear on many tourist brochures and calendars of the Vltava valley. The outlook is reached by a 1.5 km detour from the yellow trail between Teletín and Třebsín, or about 1 km shorter through a fenced pasture with cows.
