Faunapark Lipová-lázně, Animal park in Horní Lipová, Czech Republic
Faunapark Lipová-lázně is an animal facility located in the Olomouc region, situated at the foot of Šerák mountain, and houses numerous species in outdoor and sheltered areas. The park contains enclosures for mammals, birds, and reptiles, ranging from small meerkats and raccoons to larger cats and hoofed animals.
The facility was established in 2011 as a private breeding project in a mountainous area of the Czech Republic. Since opening, it has developed into a visitor destination within the Jeseníky region.
The location takes its name from the nearby spa town and functions as a place where visitors discover how different animal species live and behave. The park demonstrates a connection between this region and wildlife education for local and traveling guests.
The park is best visited during the warmer months from spring through autumn when all areas are open and active. The grounds are designed with accessibility in mind, featuring pathways suited for visitors with mobility challenges, visual or hearing impairments.
The park uses the climate and geography of the Jeseníky mountains to house animals from many different climate zones, from tropical to alpine species. This unusual location allows visitors to encounter cold-climate conditions alongside warm and tropical enclosures while walking through the mountainous landscape.
