Slavětínská rozhledna, Observation tower in Radvanice, Czech Republic
Slavětínská rozhledna is an observation tower combining steel and wood construction, with a central column and four wooden corner posts rising 23 meters high. A spiral staircase inside the central column leads visitors up to the viewing platform.
The tower was completed in 2014 as part of a regional tourism development project in the Jestřebí Mountains led by Lesy České republiky. This initiative aimed to enhance visitor access and infrastructure in the mountainous area.
The tower displays local craftsmanship through a wooden hawk sculpture crowning the central steel column and a sandstone stone honoring the region.
The tower is accessible via green-marked hiking trails from the railway station at Petříkovice or through forest roads from nearby villages. Visitors should wear proper footwear for forest paths and be prepared for climbing stairs inside the structure.
On clear days, visitors can spot Sněžka peak in the Krkonoš mountains from the viewing platform, offering a rare panoramic perspective from this location. The landscape also includes wind turbines and remnants of former military structures.
