Glassworks Harrachov

Glassworks Harrachov is a glassmaking facility in Nový Svět that produces glass using traditional methods. The site includes cutting workshops, a glass museum, two retail shops, and areas where visitors can watch artisans work or try glass-blowing themselves.

The glassworks was founded in 1712 and was owned by the Harrach family for generations. After World War II it was nationalized, but returned to private ownership in 1993.

The workshops reveal how glassmakers practice their craft openly for visitors to watch and learn. The layout allows you to see where skill and artistry merge in real time.

You can walk into the workshops during the day and watch glassmakers at work directly. The facilities are easy to reach on foot and staff can guide you to areas that match your interests.

The site includes a small brewery with a restaurant located next to the melting house. While you drink local beer, you can watch glassmakers through the windows working at their furnaces.
