Glassworks Harrachov, Glass manufacturing facility in Nový Svět, Czech Republic
The Glassworks Harrachov facility maintains traditional glass production methods with a glass cutting department that has operated for over 100 years.
Established in 1712 by Antonín Harrach Rohrau, the glassworks underwent nationalization after World War II before returning to private ownership in 1993.
The Glass Museum within the complex presents a collection of glass objects that demonstrate the technical and artistic development of regional glass manufacturing.
Visitors can observe glass production processes, participate in glass-blowing workshops, and purchase handmade crystal products in two dedicated stores.
The facility includes a microbrewery restaurant built next to the melting house where guests watch glass production while tasting local beer.
