Villa Sequens, Cultural monument in Vyšehrad, Czech Republic.

Villa Sequens is a geometric Art Nouveau house in the Vyšehrad district, designed by Otakar Novotný. The facade features clean lines, symmetrical window arrangements, and undecorated surfaces that create a sense of calm simplicity.

The house was built in the early 1900s when modern architecture was taking root in Prague. It stands in the heart of the old Vyšehrad district, where centers of power had emerged since the 11th century.

The villa shows the geometric language of Art Nouveau that opened new directions in Czech architecture at the time. Visitors can clearly see these clean lines and balanced forms on the facade, which set it apart from older, more ornate building styles.

The building is located near Vyšehrad metro station and can be viewed from the outside while exploring the fortress streets. It is worth observing the facade details from different angles to fully appreciate the geometric forms.

The house retained its original geometric Art Nouveau elements to this day, making it a rare time capsule. Such unchanged examples of this building style are seldom found in Prague.
