Josefův Důl Chateau

Josefův Důl Chateau is a residential structure blending Neoclassical and Renaissance Revival styles, marked by symmetrical wings and decorative stonework. The facade displays the characteristic details of both architectural periods arranged in balanced proportions.

The structure was built when Czech nobility established hunting lodges throughout the Jizera Mountains, creating symbols of their regional influence. Its architectural style captures how tastes of that era found expression in this mountain region.

The site is currently inaccessible to visitors as it has been out of service since 2019 and does not welcome guests. The exterior can be viewed from the surrounding village paths, allowing observation of its architectural features from outside.

The property was designed to host large gatherings, with capacity for up to 35 guests spread across 17 rooms and a professional kitchen equipped with dual gas stoves. This configuration reveals its purpose as a venue for social events among the regional nobility.
