Trojčata, Tower complex in Karviná, Czech Republic
Trojčata is a residential tower complex consisting of three tall buildings on November 17th Avenue in Karviná. The three structures form part of a larger five-building development that defines the western edge of this urban neighborhood.
Built between 1979 and 1980, these towers were constructed as part of an urban growth strategy for Karviná. The development aimed to provide housing as the city expanded and its population increased.
The towers create a vertical wall when viewed from the southeast, standing against a backdrop of three-story residential houses from the First Republic period.
The towers are easily accessible by foot from the main street and can be viewed from multiple angles. Walking around the area gives a clear sense of how the buildings relate to the older houses in the neighborhood.
The complex features a strategic architectural placement that maintains visual harmony with the surrounding buildings while establishing a vertical focal point.
