Amfiteátr Lochotín

The Amfiteátr Lochotín is an open-air theatre in Lochotínský Park with seating arranged across a natural slope that can hold up to 17,000 spectators. The space includes 6,000 permanent seats integrated into the park's hillside terrain.

The site was built between 1951 and 1961 on the grounds of a former garden and developed into a major cultural venue over the decades. A significant renovation with European support modernized the structure in 2015.

The venue draws crowds year-round for outdoor cinema nights and live music, making it a social gathering spot where locals and visitors enjoy performances under open skies.

The venue is located within Lochotínský Park and shares space with a zoological and botanical garden, making it easy to access as part of a larger visit. Events happen mainly during warmer months, so dressing for changeable weather is wise.

The complex merged with a zoological and botanical garden in 1997, creating a rare blend of nature and entertainment in a single location. This integration allows visitors to combine cultural events with walks through living gardens and animal habitats in one outing.
