Těchanovická vyhlídka is an 11.9-metre wooden observation tower on a slope by Kostelní vrch at 495 m above sea level, about 1 km west of Staré Těchanovice. Its three-storey structure stands on four concrete footings, and a 39-step staircase leads to a viewing platform 9.2 m above the ground.

The municipality of Staré Těchanovice had the tower built between 2016 and 2018, designed by engineer Adam Benek and constructed by the firm Tesařství Jaroslav Špaček. The original site on Karlův kopec, one kilometre north of the village, was already occupied by a transmitter, so a slope of Kostelní vrch about one kilometre west of the village was chosen instead. Foundations and the basic structure went up in 2016, the tower was largely finished in 2017, and finishing work plus a nearby sun terrace and information boards followed in 2018. It was ceremonially opened on 19 May 2018, though it had been open to the public before that.

The tower stands on the slope of Kostelní vrch, about 1 km west of Staré Těchanovice, and is reached on foot by a field path of roughly 300 m or along the Břidlicová stezka educational trail, route D. Near the tower are a sun terrace with five loungers, information boards and a shelter about 400 m away on the trail.

The tower is accessible via walking paths that connect from nearby trails and hiking routes in the area. Visitors can reach the viewing platforms by walking up the structure at a steady pace.

Interpretive markers at the viewing platforms help visitors identify geographical features and natural landmarks visible from above. These guides allow people to better understand the terrain while taking in the outlook.
