Forest Spring, Spring in the spa forests of Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic

Forest Spring (Lesní vřídlo) is a maintained spring beside the Sovova stezka path in the spa forests of Karlovy Vary, at 505 m above sea level near the Linhart game park and the viewing walkway by the Luční rybníky ponds. The spring itself rises higher in the forest, and its water is led down to the small drinking place by a hose; it is an overflow from the forest water main running toward Linhart. The spot in front of the outlet was paved in 2007.

The outflows of spring water along Sovova stezka were modified many times; at the site of today's Forest Spring a hollow tree stump once released a small unnamed trickle. In 2001 the Lázeňské lesy Karlovy Vary organisation, which manages the forests and their water sources, put the wells into usable condition, and Forest Spring was rebuilt in July 2001, receiving its name then. In 2007 the area in front of the outflow was paved.
