Hotel Seville, Hotel in den Vereinigten Staaten
The Hotel Seville is a historic building from 1929 in Harrison, Arkansas, located at the corner of Vine and Ridge Streets. It is a three-story, L-shaped structure made of brick and terra cotta with Spanish Revival elements, including colored terra cotta columns and geometric patterns on the exterior.
The hotel was designed in 1929 by architects Eugene Johnson and Will W. Johnson and welcomed guests and travelers for many decades. In the mid-1970s, it was converted into housing for elderly residents, but was extensively renovated in 2008 and returned to service as a hotel.
The Hotel Seville takes its name from the Spanish city of Seville and reflects this inspiration in its architecture. Visitors can see the Moorish and Spanish influences in the tiles, columns, and arches that shape the building and set it apart from other structures nearby.
The hotel sits downtown Harrison, just steps from the Courthouse Square, making it easy to reach museums, shops, and parks. The building has a restaurant on the ground floor, event spaces including a large ballroom and mezzanine, and covered parking for guests.
The hotel underwent renovation in 2008 with six new suites added while preserving its original character. This blend of historic details and modern comfort makes it a rare example of successful restoration that honors the past while serving contemporary guests.
