Students' Building

The Students' Building is a three-story university structure in Poughkeepsie featuring classical proportions with symmetrically arranged windows and finely carved stone ornaments along its walls. Inside, learning and gathering spaces flow across each level, organized by regularly spaced columns and arched openings that support the overall architectural composition.

The structure was completed in 1913 by the prominent architecture firm McKim, Mead & White, which specialized in designing significant institutional buildings. This period coincided with American universities reshaping their campuses according to European educational ideals and design standards.
