Poughkeepsie

Poughkeepsie is a town in Dutchess County that spreads along the Hudson River, forming a mosaic of residential neighborhoods, commercial zones, and civic institutions. The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park contains one of the longest elevated pedestrian bridges, offering visitors an unusual vantage point over the river and surrounding landscape. The bridge was originally built for railroad use and was later converted into a popular walking route.
