Green River Plantation, Historic plantation house in Columbus, North Carolina, United States.

The Green River mansion spans over 10,000 square feet, featuring 42 rooms across two connected sections built in Federal and Greek Revival styles.

Joseph McDowell Carson constructed the original section between 1804 and 1807, while his brother Samuel Price Carson, a North Carolina State Senator, resided in the later addition.

The plantation preserves architectural elements from both Federal and Greek Revival periods, representing early 19th-century North Carolina building traditions.

Visitors can schedule guided tours of the mansion, reserve spaces for weddings, corporate events, concerts, and participate in group meals with minimum 10 persons.

The current owners acquired the property in 1987 after the grandmother dreamed of owning it since childhood, leading to an extensive restoration project.
