WMU Soccer Complex, NCAA Division I soccer stadium at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, United States
The WMU Soccer Complex is an NCAA Division I facility at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo featuring a natural grass pitch and 500-seat bleachers. The stadium includes covered seating areas, an electronic scoreboard, and sits adjacent to the Business Technology Park.
The facility originally opened in 2005 as Lee Baker Field before undergoing major renovations between 2012 and 2017. These upgrades included improved drainage systems and the addition of a new press box.
The complex serves as home to Western Michigan University's soccer teams competing in the Mid-American Conference. Visitors can watch college-level matches during the season and experience the energy of NCAA Division I athletics.
The facility is easily accessed via Campus Drive from Drake Road and has paved parking lots available. Visitors will find concession stands on-site, and the grounds include a full-sized practice field for team use.
The playing surface was treated using Fraze mowing, a European technique that removes the top soil layer to create ideal grass growth conditions. This specialized method is uncommon at most American college venues.
