Built in 1935 by Federal Emergency Relief Administration workers and local employees, this structure gained National Register of Historic Places status in 2000.
The bath house served as a central meeting point for El Reno residents who gathered at the swimming pool complex for recreational activities until 1991.
While the swimming pool area filled with dirt in 1991, the original brick structure maintains its external architectural characteristics at coordinates 35.5256° N, 97.9647° W.
This Depression-era bath house, designed by architect Arnold Sawalliach, represents one of two remaining Mission style buildings in El Reno, Oklahoma.
