John A. Roebling's Sons Company is an industrial complex with five preserved buildings constructed between 1908 and 1929, arranged along the Delaware and Raritan Canal. The site includes specialized structures such as the rope production shop on Clark Street and the boiler facility, which showcase typical elements of a wire rope manufacturing plant.

The company was founded in 1849 and became one of the largest wire rope manufacturers in the world, particularly during World War I. The plant supplied cables for major structures including the Brooklyn Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge.

The Roebling works gave Trenton its industrial reputation, later summed up in the motto "Trenton Makes, the World Takes" on the Lower Trenton Bridge. The company was sold by the Roebling family in 1953, and operations in Trenton ended in 1974. Building 101 later served for a time as storage for paper goods.

The site is located in the Chambersburg neighborhood next to the Delaware and Raritan Canal and is easily accessible on foot. Visitors can view the preserved industrial buildings from outside, while portions of the complex now contain residential apartments and offices.
