The East Plano Islamic Center spans 33,000 square feet and includes separate prayer halls for men and women, educational spaces, and community gathering areas.
The center began in 2003 with small gatherings in garages before moving to a trailer, then a strip mall, and finally opening its current facility in 2015.
The center provides Arabic language instruction, Quranic studies, youth activities, and special programs for children with different learning requirements.
The mosque holds daily prayer services including Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha, accommodating up to 3,200 people in its main prayer hall.
During the 2020-2021 pandemic, the center maintained strict safety protocols due to its large population of medical professionals in the congregation.
