Harlow E. Bundy House
Harlow E. Bundy House, Queen Anne style house in Binghamton, United States.
The Harlow E. Bundy House is a Queen Anne style residence in Binghamton featuring cut stone veneer, ornamental shingles, and a prominent conical tower at its Main Street corner. The museum presents exhibits on local history, industrial development, and includes an authentic twentieth-century barber shop room.
Built in 1893 for the owner of Bundy Manufacturing Company, a producer of time recording systems, this residence exemplifies the wealth generated by local industry in the late 1800s. The property received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
The building now serves as the Bundy Museum of History and Art, displaying time recording clocks, African artifacts, and the Rod Serling Archive. This collection reflects the connections between local industry, international artistic traditions, and American television history.
The museum is centrally located at 129 Main Street with regular hours for visitors to explore the exhibits. The displays are well organized and allow for a self-guided tour through the various collections and historic rooms.
The house preserves an authentic twentieth-century barber shop setup showing how the rear of the building once functioned as a commercial space. It also houses the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame, honoring local broadcasting pioneers.
