Lewis and Clark State Park, State park on the shores of Blue Lake in Monona County, United States
Lewis and Clark State Park encompasses 250 acres of Blue Lake, featuring numerous hiking trails through woodlands where deer, rabbits, and squirrels roam freely.
The Corps of Discovery established a camp at this location on August 9, 1804, during their westward expedition commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson.
The park maintains a full-sized reproduction of the original keelboat used during the Lewis and Clark expedition, constructed through local community efforts.
Visitors have access to modern camping facilities with electric hookups, shower buildings, and over 30 acres of picnic grounds equipped with tables and grills.
The day-use lodge, constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, stands as a testament to Depression-era public works projects.
