Olympia Downtown Historic District is an area encompassing 17 blocks with around 51 buildings that combine Romanesque and Beaux-Arts architectural styles. The structures showcase distinctive facades and historical details that reflect different construction periods and design approaches.
Most buildings were constructed between 1911 and 1930 during a period of rapid expansion following Washington's admission to statehood. This building boom shaped the district's character and established the architectural foundation visible today.
