The Jeff Davis County Courthouse is a courthouse building in Neoclassical style with columned porticos on two sides and a Beaux-Arts clock tower crowning the structure. The two-story building holds county offices on the ground floor and the district courtroom on the upper level, serving all judicial functions for the region.
Construction took place between 1910 and 1911, replacing an adobe structure that had served the county since 1880. This new building provided a durable and permanent facility for the county's judicial operations in this remote western location.
The building continues to serve as the hub where residents handle legal matters and civic affairs today. Its central location makes it the natural gathering point for the community's administrative and social activities.
