Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, Theme park in Genting Highlands, Malaysia.
Genting SkyWorlds is a theme park in Genting Highlands, Malaysia, covering approximately 26 acres and featuring nine themed zones with a total of 26 attractions. The different worlds carry names such as Andromeda Base, Central Park, Eagle Mountain, and Ice Age, each offering its own rides, restaurants, and shops.
Construction began in December 2013 under the name 20th Century Fox World, but legal disputes with Disney led to a rebranding. The park finally opened in 2022 as Genting SkyWorlds after several years of delay.
The nine themed worlds bring together recognizable film characters and original stories, allowing visitors to walk through recreated sets and meet costumed performers. Families move from one area to the next, experiencing shifting scenery that ranges from space stations to prehistoric landscapes.
The grounds open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, and visitors can use a virtual queue system through a mobile app to reduce waiting times. The pathways between themed areas are covered or connected by corridors, which helps during changeable weather.
Hotel guests can enter the park through a separate entrance called Studio Plaza, while all other visitors use the SkyAvenue Gateway. This separation allows overnight guests to reach the grounds earlier or more conveniently.
