Circuito Grandvalira Andorra, Autorennstrecke
Circuito Grandvalira Andorra is a racing track in Encamp measuring about 945 meters in length and situated at an elevation of roughly 2400 meters (7900 feet), making it Europe's highest permanent racing circuit. The asphalt surface features several turns and is maintained year-round, often becoming ice-covered during winter months.
The track was established as a permanent racing venue in Andorra's high mountain region and remains the country's only such facility. Between 2008 and 2014 it hosted the Supermoto World Championship, bringing international recognition to the location.
The circuit takes its name from the nearby Grandvalira Ski Resort and serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors come together during racing events. Families and fans line the barriers during race days, creating a shared experience centered on motorsport competition.
The track is positioned near the CG-2 highway and is easily accessible from Pas de la Casa, particularly convenient for day visits during events. Spectators can gather in designated areas with a total capacity of roughly 2000 people.
The track becomes a frozen racing surface in winter, where vehicles compete on ice and snow, a rare feature for professional racing circuits. These conditions enable training sessions for drivers seeking to improve their skills on slippery surfaces.
