Pic de Fontfreda

The Pic de Font Freda reaches an elevation of 2,738 meters and features a broad plateau with two distinct elevations in the French Pyrenees.

The mountain has established routes since the early days of regional alpinism, with documented climbs dating back through several generations of mountaineers.

The summit forms part of the FEEC100 list, a collection of peaks recognized for their significance in the French-Catalan mountain climbing tradition.

Access to Pic de Font Freda involves a 9.77-kilometer intermediate hiking route from Porté-Puymorens, including an elevation gain of 850 meters.

The central corridor of the north face presents a technical climbing challenge with 400 meters of ascent, including four rock sections and slopes averaging 50 degrees.
