The Landmark, Postmodern skyscraper in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The Landmark rises 324 meters with 72 floors above ground, featuring a geometric structure inspired by patterns found in desert flowers.
The construction began in 2006 and set a UAE record in 2007 for the largest single concrete pouring, using 16,000 cubic meters of self-compacting concrete.
César Pelli designed this mixed-use building to incorporate elements of local architecture through its dodecagonal shape and desert-influenced aesthetics.
The building contains 31 floors of offices, 28 floors of apartments, five underground parking levels, and 18 elevators for vertical transportation.
The structure includes a sky garden with a swimming pool positioned high above the city, offering views across the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
