Built in 1761 as a watchtower to protect Abu Dhabi's only freshwater well, the structure expanded into a fort and residence for the ruling family.
The House of Artisans section displays traditional Emirati crafts, including weaving, metalwork, and pottery made from local materials.
Visitors can explore the exhibition halls, fort chambers, and courtyards through guided tours available in multiple languages throughout the day.
The fort walls incorporate coral stones and sea shells bound together with lime mortar, demonstrating traditional coastal construction methods.
