Etihad Towers, Building 2, Mixed-use tower in Abu Dhabi Corniche, United Arab Emirates
Etihad Towers Building 2 is a 305-meter (1,000 feet) tall skyscraper with 80 floors along Abu Dhabi's waterfront. The building combines office space with residential apartments and features an observation deck on the 75th floor.
The project began in 2006 following an international design competition won by DBI Design. Construction finished in late 2011, marking a major milestone in Abu Dhabi's modern development at the time.
The observation deck on the 75th floor represents modern Arabic architecture while offering visitors expansive views across Abu Dhabi's advancing cityscape.
Access to the observation deck is straightforward from the lower floors with convenient elevator service. Plan your visit for late afternoon or early evening when light is best for viewing the cityscape and waterfront.
The structure uses an innovative system for distributing wind loads without the typical damper tanks found in comparable towers. This engineering approach was groundbreaking for construction in the region at the time of its completion.
