Dubai International Airport

The airport consists of three passenger terminals linked by a metro line, offering routes to 270 destinations worldwide through numerous airlines. The facility spreads across a large area east of the city center and provides infrastructure for round-the-clock international air traffic.

The establishment of this aviation center in 1960 marked the beginning of Dubai's transformation into a global transportation hub. Over the following decades, the facility expanded multiple times to meet the city's growing role as a link between East and West.

Prayer rooms, multilingual signs, and dedicated spaces combine traditional Arabic architecture with modern design throughout the terminals. Travelers from every continent meet here, while local customs like Arab hospitality remain present in lounges and restaurants.

Terminal 3 is exclusively dedicated to Emirates Airlines, connects directly to the metro system, and contains numerous restaurants, shops, and rest areas. Travelers can move between terminals using the train or free shuttle bus, and should allow enough time for transfers.

Advanced temperature control systems here manage extreme desert heat while serving roughly 90 million passengers each year. The facility also functions as a hub for international freight transport and processes thousands of tons of goods daily from different world regions.
