Government House, Anguilla

Government House is the official residence of the Governor, located on Valley Road in George Hill. The building contains dedicated spaces for state receptions, official ceremonies, and administrative functions.

The structure was established in 1969 and underwent major renovations in 1974 to improve its administrative capacity and living spaces. These upgrades transformed it into a modern governmental center.

The building reflects Anguilla's ties to the British Crown, receiving royal visitors and diplomatic guests throughout the year for official ceremonies.

The residence is not typically open to visitors as it serves as the Governor's private home. Public administrative services and governmental affairs can be handled at The Valley, the main town of the island.

The estate was deliberately positioned on elevated grounds to command views across the island. This vantage point allowed governors to maintain oversight of the island's affairs from a central, visible location.
