Port of Vlores, Maritime port in Vlorë County, Albania
The Port of Vlores is a maritime facility along Albania's coast with three separate operational areas. The complex includes a dry cargo sector, an oil terminal known as Vlore-1, and a dedicated fishing dock.
The port developed over several decades into a major trading hub for Albania. It grew to become the nation's second-largest maritime facility and continues to shape the country's commercial activities.
The port integrates with the Lungomare Master Plan, connecting maritime commerce to local developments through new coastal infrastructure and transportation networks.
The facility accommodates ships up to about 500 feet long, with water depths of 9 to 11 meters in the channel and about 5 to 6 meters at cargo piers. Passenger vessels require specific berthing areas due to their draft requirements and operational restrictions.
The facility maintains specific depth allowances for different vessel types, with passenger ships permitted to operate in waters up to 11 meters deep.
