Korab-Koritnik Nature Park

Korab-Koritnik Nature Park spans 55,550 hectares across eastern Albania, featuring valleys, rivers, glacial lakes, caves, canyons, and dense mountain forests.

The protected area received official designation in December 2011 through a decree from the Albanian Council of Ministers to preserve its natural ecosystems.

Local communities maintain traditional practices of seasonal livestock herding, producing dairy products, honey, and supporting the indigenous Rudë sheep breed.

Access to the park includes numerous hiking trails, with the route from Radomirë leading to Lake Grama offering direct views of Mount Korab.

The park contains 61 named mountains and sits at the intersection of four tectonic zones, making it one of Albania's oldest geological formations.
