Dilijan National Park

The park spans 33,765 hectares of northeastern Armenia, featuring diverse landscapes from forest-covered mountains to mineral springs between 1,070 and 2,900 meters elevation.

The protected area transformed from a 1958 state nature reserve into a national park in 2002 to prevent exploitation from tourism and agricultural practices.

Medieval Armenian monasteries including Haghartsin, Goshavank, and Jukhtak Vank stand within the forested areas, connecting natural heritage with architectural traditions.

Visitors access numerous hiking trails connecting different ecosystems, with opportunities to observe 902 plant species and wildlife including brown bears, lynx, and deer.

The park contains the largest concentration of third-era redwood remnants in Transcaucasia, particularly in the Aghnabatin area near the Getik basin.
