Hovhannes Shiraz home-museum

The building showcases personal belongings, manuscripts, and works of Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz across six thematic exhibition rooms at Varpetats Street.

The red tuff stone structure from 1886 belonged to merchant Qeshishyan before becoming Shiraz's residence in 1983, one year before his death.

The museum preserves the literary heritage of Hovhannes Shiraz through displays of his poetry collections, including the three-volume Knar Hayastani anthology.

Visitors can explore the museum's collections through guided tours and access an audio-visual presentation detailing the poet's contributions to Armenian literature.

The museum exhibits a painting gifted by John Steinbeck expressing gratitude for Shiraz's hospitality during his visit to Yerevan.
