Ardvi monastery, Religious complex in Lori Province, Armenia

The monastery contains two main buildings with several chambers, situated 50 meters above the village of Ardvi among stone formations.

The monastery, established in the 8th century, houses the burial site of Hovhannes Odznetsi, the 34th Catholicos of Armenia.

Armenian stone carvings known as khachkars decorate the monastery grounds, representing traditional religious artistry of the region.

The monastery remains active for religious services, with specific sections accessible to visitors exploring the architectural complex.

Near the monastery stands Odzi Port spring, where according to local accounts, Saint Hovhannes turned a snake into stone.
