Torre Espacial

Torre Espacial is an observation tower in Villa Soldati with a height of 200 meters and viewing platforms at multiple levels. These platforms allow visitors to see across the city and toward the distant shores beyond Buenos Aires.

Construction of the tower began in 1979 and was completed in 1981, though its opening to the public did not occur until 1985. Delays resulted from financial difficulties that affected the original project developer.

The tower stands as a local landmark in Villa Soldati, shaping how residents perceive and navigate their neighborhood. From its platforms, visitors gain a sense of Buenos Aires' sprawling scale and the relationship between different city districts.

An elevator carries visitors up to the viewing platforms, making the ascent straightforward for most people. Visiting on clear days is advisable to take advantage of the extended sightlines that good weather provides.

The steel structure was engineered by an Austrian firm and delivered in components from Europe. The parts arrived behind schedule because the company intended to operate the original amusement park venture went bankrupt during construction.
