Ernesto "Che" Guevara museum

The Museo Casa del Che Guevara occupies Villa Nydia, a private residence with ten exhibition rooms. The collection includes personal belongings, letters, photographs, and documents that document his early life.

The family moved to Alta Gracia in 1932 for young Ernesto's health and lived in the house from 1935 to 1937 and again from 1939 to 1943. These years shaped his youth and path toward wider involvement.

The house shows how the family lived here and how young Ernesto experienced his surroundings. The rooms give visitors a sense of his everyday life and early interests during this period.

The museum is easy to reach and located in central Alta Gracia. Visitors should allow enough time to explore the ten rooms and collections at their own pace.

The bicycle used for the first major journey through Latin America is displayed in the exhibitions. This simple vehicle marked the start of a journey that fundamentally changed his life.
