The Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Museum is an art museum in Santa Fe that holds a large collection of works by Argentine artists. The exhibition spans multiple galleries and displays paintings, sculptures, prints, and other artistic forms.
Martín Rodríguez Galisteo, son of Colonel José Rodríguez and Rosa Galisteo, began building the museum in 1918 on 4 de enero street. Four years later he donated it to the province, which inaugurated it that same year on two conditions: it bear his mother's name and combine a museum with a library. It received a Konex Award in 2022.
The museum shapes the city's artistic life by bringing together national creators regularly through its programs. This role has made it a gathering place where local and national artists connect and present their work.
The location is in the historic center of the city and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors should allow enough time since exhibitions span multiple galleries and there are also workshops and a library available.
The Salón Anual de Santa Fe opened in 1923, almost at the same time as the museum, and still awards prizes every 25 May in drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography. Since 1958 the Salón de Becarios has granted annual scholarships to up to 24 Santa Fe artists under 45, four per discipline.
