Concepción de Buena Esperanza consists of archaeological remains of an early European settlement located near the Bermejo River in Chaco Province. The excavated foundations reveal the layout and construction of this former urban center.
History
The settlement was founded in 1585 and served as a key link between Asunción and the southern highlands. It was abandoned around 50 years later and lost to history.

The site shows how Spanish colonists and indigenous groups lived and interacted in this territory. Visitors can still sense this coexistence in the ruins scattered across the landscape.
