Parque histórico natural Vuelta de Obligado

The protected area spans 9 hectares along steep cliffs overlooking the Paraná River, featuring wooden walkways that connect various historical points of interest.

On November 20, 1845, Argentine forces led by Juan Manuel de Rosas and General Lucio Mansilla confronted Anglo-French fleets in a battle for national sovereignty.

The Site Museum preserves archaeological artifacts from the Battle of Obligado, including projectiles and metal fittings discovered by University of Luján researchers.

Access to the park is free, with guided tours available and a museum that displays historical exhibits about the Battle of Obligado and its significance.

The park's caves at the base of the cliffs house five different bat species, leading to its designation as an AICOM site by the Latin American bat conservation network.
